Course overview

This diploma equips learners with the knowledge and skills to support children’s learning, development, safeguarding, and well-being. It prepares individuals to work in roles such as early years educators, teaching assistants, or childcare practitioners. The course emphasises child development, behaviour support, inclusive practice, and creating safe, nurturing environments for children to thrive.

Entry requirements

  • Aged 16 or over
  • Working, volunteering or on placement in an early years or school setting
  • Level 2 English and maths are required to count in staff ratios (we offer Functional Skills)
